The inception of the Department of Computer Science was in the year 1996. The Department helps develop expertise in computing with a strong programming focus, where you’ll learn in-demand computing skills. The project-based, hands-on approach will aid in developing the technical skills required for a successful career in the software industry. The Department is committed to providing students with a world-class computer science education and preparing them for successful careers in this exciting and ever-changing field. The Department provides a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate programs designed to provide students with a solid foundation in computer science while also allowing them to specialize in areas of particular interest. Have completed their 10+2 from a recognized school

Have Mathematics as one of the subjects in their Higher Secondary Examination

ISR ACTIVITY (KALPATHARU) -2022-2023

The community service gives knowledge related to happening in their areas and engaging the student in the activity providing affinity and care towards the maintenance of the living area As a part of the ISR initiative by the Department of Computer Science, students of I and III Year B.Sc Computer Science along with 2 staff members Mrs A.Sheela and Mrs S.Sumathy went to ‘Thiruvanmiyur Taramani Urban Forest’ on 17.02.2023. The Resources Person from the NIZHAL foundation Mrs. Chitra gave a brief introduction to the students about the importance of maintaining the trees, there were 21 Students who Participated and helped in maintaining the park

In association with the NIZHAL foundation, 14 students and two faculty members of computer science attended the “Tree Walk and Talk” with MR. V. Arun on 04.03.2023 explained the name of each tree and its uses. Each tree and its nomenclature, the reason for naming the tree, and its medicinal use were clearly explained to the students.
