Department of Information Technology was started in the year 2004 with an emphasis on imparting practical knowledge on current trends pertaining to technology. The Department provides a platform for students to explore latest trends and initiatives in academia and industry. With keynote presentations and application-oriented demos, the department discovers the latest advancements in design and research.

The Department has the best infrastructure and learning tools to facilitate the students to gain a strong foothold in IT industry. It further integrates theory with practical learning to build a strong foundation for professional employment through its excellent teaching in view of bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Association Activities

The Department association “ ” is involved in organising several events to the students in order to kindle their logical thinking & programming skills which would in turn prepare them to compete with the global standards. The department has organised a National Level Conference on Recent Trends in Information Technology (NCRTIT -2015) during which 21 papers were published with an ISBN Number. It has also organised a State level workshop on Photoshop, through which several students were benefitted. The Department mainly focuses on in house projects which provides solutions for the internal requirements. Events like Paper Presentation, Debugging, Movie Making, Junk art using E-waste, Project presentation are also carried out at inter-collegiate levels.
