Department of Languages comprising of Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit and French was established in the year 1996. The Aim of Department of Languages is to equip students with the linguistic and cultural proficiency in the field of education and real life situations besides enabling them to improve their lexical, grammatical and communicative competency.

Association Activities

Department of Languages pledges to reaffirm the essential role of a second language of enhancing the competitive edge in learning, linguistics and literary studies. The objectives of the Association are to create an opportunity for the students to exhibit their talents and interests besides educating culture and heritage to the student community.

“Tamizh Oli” association of Department of Tamil, “Saawan” of Hindi and “Tarangini” of Sanskrit incorporate various Inter and Intra Department activities. VAANAVIL (tamil maganize) and “GNANAVANI”(sanskrit magazine) are released every year in which students get opportunities to pen down their thoughts.
