Computer science is one of the most lucrative and competitive course to study today which also has a high demand for skilled computer professionals. The department was started in the year 1996 to build strong foundations in all prospective areas of computer science with state of the art infrastructure and curriculum which would in turn enable the students bring their own ideas into projects.

The main objective is to develop computer professional with ethical values who are capable of taking lead roles in industry, academia, entrepreneurship and new emerging fields. The faculties provide high quality training to students in order to make them compete with the changing global scenario. The department has a good record of university rank holders from its inception.

Association Activities

The department association NETIZEN works with an aim to promote the technological growth among the students. The department magazine “Final Cut” is released every year which brings out the latent talents of the students. It conducts seminars, workshops and organizes Industrial visits to keep pace with the recent technology. The department also encourages students to participate in various events like paper presentation, Quiz, extracurricular activities in other colleges. Certificate courses are also organized for the students to keep pace with the latest trends in technology.

The alumni of the department are well placed at in reputable positions in leading corporate companies through off campus and on campus recruitments. Activities like paper presentation, seminar, workshop, conference, industrial visit related to their field conducted by the department at inter, intra and inter collegiate levels pave way for the students to enhance their team work, leadership qualities, organization, management and communication skills.
