The Department of Computer Science and Applications endeavors to imbibe the Mission of the Department in its goal to “Develop IT Professionals With Ethical Values”. The department focuses on empowering students with competencies in theoretical, programming, communication, team work, organization and management skills. The department has produced quality computer professionals. The whole team of Computer Science and Applications Faculty is working with a sense of responsibility and dedication to excel and achieve success in this era of Computer Science.

Association Activities

In the year of 2001, the Department association was launched with the name, “ICONS”. Every year ICONS will be inaugurated by ideal industrial wizards with their informative guest address to students. The magazine of the department named as “INFOMATIQUES” will be released in the inaugural session. Infomatiques, as the name suggests contains valuable information to upgrade the knowledge of the students. Students are wholly responsible for
collecting the content, compiling and designing of the magazine.

Many activities like paper presentation, seminar, workshop, conference, industrial visit related to their field are conducted. Other general events like debugging, quiz, movie making, ad zap, creative singing, mime, JAM, gaming, collage, junk art, T-shirt designing, best out of waste, e-waste and many other events that pulls out the hidden creativity of the students are conducted. The events are conducted in intradepartmental, interdepartmental and intercollegiate manner.
